A sleepy beach town about 10 miles southeast of Santa Cruz, Rio Del Mar
appears to me much like a summer resort of the 1950's. It's astonishing that
there are no tourist shops in this village. Nearby to the north is the locally
famous "cement boat" which foundered on the shallow beach sometime in
the 1920's. It is now a popular fishing spot and curiosity; unfortunately none
of my pictures show it.
